About The Artist 

Rod Purcell has a Masters degree in Photography from Goldsmiths College in London. He has several exhibitions to his name and has published two photographic books: ‘Seeking Emptiness – a photo essay of modern Tibet’, and ‘Delusions and Realisations’ a monograph of black and white images.

Over the past twenty years Rod has traveled and photographed widely in Europe, Asia, North Africa and North America. Rod currently lives in Scotland where he works at the University of Glasgow; writing, teaching and photographing on social action and cultural change. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society
